Kona is home to some of the top snorkeling sites in the world. Get wet and explore!

F.Y.I.

One of Kona's best snorkeling spots is right in town!

Kahalu’u, also known as the Snorkel Beach, Turtle Beach, or Children’s Beach, is located about 1.1 miles South of Whitesands on Ali’i Dr. There are two pavilions with picnic benches, as well as benches and grills scattered throughout the park. This is a nice beach, though it is often crowded with tourists both on the beach and in the water. Still, this is some of the best novice snorkeling on the island, featuring loads of reefs, tropical fish, and sea turtles.

Great Fishing Charters

Capt. Jeff Rodgers

"Whether you're looking for that big trophy catch of a lifetime, some delicious fish to take home or just wanting to catch fish after fish after fish until your arms are too weak to haul in another, I'll do my best to give you the best Hawaii fishing trip you've ever had!"

Another thing that sets captain Jeff apart from the rest of the Kona fishing fleet is the fact that he finds "fishing" to be boring. Let's go catching!

Dolphin Discoveries

Perhaps Hawaii's finest snorkel site, is the marine sanctuary at Kealakekua Bay. The name "Kealakekua" means "Pathway to God" and the Mana (spiritual power or energy) can be felt here by all. It is truly a wonder of nature and by far one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the state. The large bay is so situated so as to ensure calm (lake-like) waters year round.

The bay is also a historical area, having been the dramatic backdrop for the great explorer, Capt. James Cook, as his place of discovery of the Big Island and a short time later, on February 14, 1779, met his fate on this shore. Your Dolphin Discoveries captain will tell you the whole story as you watch it come alive at the very spot this history was made.
