Spencer Beach Park is a popular beach and camping site on the Kohala Coast. There is adequate parking, plenty of picnic tables, restroom facilities, a pavilion, and a basketball / volleyball (hard) court. There is lots of shade at this beach and it is not very crowded during the week, especially when school is in. The sand shelf extends into the water, which is generally calmer than other beaches on the coast. Many people with kids visit this beach because of the swimming and convenient access to the parking lot and bathrooms. Overall, this is a great, laid-back beach to visit.
