We are unfortunately back at home and getting synced up to go back to work tomorrow. We had an exquisite stay at the Orange Tree and will definitely come again to stay and will definitely recommend the Orange Tree Cottage to anyone that is going to the Big Island for a vacation. There were many highlights with staying at the cottage.... best was the homey atmosphere, and of course going out to the back yard for some fresh fruit. Mom enjoyed doing this every day and will never forget how great they tasted. We cooked up some great meals and there was nothing that we needed. About the only thing that could have been better was if we could have stayed longer!!! We will always cherish our stay at the Orange Tree Cottage and thanks again for everything. -- Andrea & Ron G ., Nanaimo BC Canada April 2011
Thank you for providing my family with a fabulous vacation house in Kona (Orange Tree Cottage). My daughter loved the place and my wife loved the ocean views. We saw wild turkeys and Kalij pheasants in the back yard and even ate a few lilikoi. The farmers market was great with 50 cent papayas and apple bananas. The snorkeling, volcano, body boarding, and relaxing in Kona was phenomenal. I look forward to staying in one of your rentals again and will tell everyone about the great service and lodging that you provided. – Mahalo Albert & Tracy Ignacio, San Jose CA, January 2011
Our stay at Orange Tree was excellent. It was spacious for us 4 adults and a toddler and at the right elevation. We felt right at home, the view of the coastline will be well remembered… We liked the back yard and the side patio as well as the turkeys that strolled and nestled in the yard every other day. We’re glad we didn’t stay at a condo or hotel room. Mahalo for letting us stay in your home. Looking forward to doing this again in the future. -- Wilma Ellis, Tumwater & Lakewood WA, July 2010
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Orange Tree Cottage. With the amenities provided, the privacy, and the wonderful view from the lanai, there was no comparison to the resort or hotel experience. We spent less on lodging and rental car combined than we would have at any of the local “destination” resorts, even without a car. We also enjoyed cooking at the cottage and we even made good use of the grill. -- Zachary H., Seattle Washington, June 2010
The Cottage was a definite bargain. We felt privileged to have found this wonderful home. It was both spacious and cozy. We loved it. I tried to sweep up as best as we could, perhaps a little vacuum in the house. We saw the bird feeders so assumed it was OK to feed the birds and we enjoyed all the beautiful colors of birds we saw. When I return to Kona, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else, and have told many friends of our stay at ‘Orange Tree’. Much Mahalos -- The Mercers, Coquitlam BC Can Fall 2010
The "Orange Tree house" was ideally set up for a family, with the bedrooms separated by the livingroom, and lanai sleepers off each bedroom. The lanai off the livingroom with the table and benches, was an excellent place to sit and watch the sun set over the Pacific ocean, with a direct-west view. The view from that same lanai was superb, overlooking Kona-Kailua towards the north, a great place for early morning watching the city/town awaken, or in the evening, watching the lights come on across the town and coast. Overall, we all loved the house and setting. The kids got a real kick out of the turkeys wandering around each morning, and the gobbling. -- Ross & Nancy Bellows, Berthoud CO, Mar/April '09
The guys loved the place and really enjoyed themselves, especially your Orange trees. They made fresh orange juice everyday. Thanks again for everything. -- Marilyn, Oahu, March ‘09
Our stay at the Orange Tree Cottage was a wonderful experience! The location was great and the home was very cozy and comfortable. On the first day in the afternoon, a bunch of wild turkeys appeared in the back yard. It was also a quiet neighborhood and we often took walks in the early morning around the neighborhood. We would rate it an excellent experience and would stay there again. Best regards, - Darren & Duffy Okimoto, Honolulu Sept. '08
