The Jacaranda Inn offers restful, romantic accommodations at an historic ranch estate on Hawaii's Big Island. Eight rooms and suites are housed in buildings such as former bunkhouses for Parker Ranch ranchhands. Modest plantation style exteriors belie sumptuous interiors. Each room has a comfortable sitting area and a grand bathroom. Along with a three bedroom streamside home, the Jacaranda can accommodate up to 22 guests on about a dozen acres. At the heart of the property is the main house which was built in 1897 for the ranch manager.
The estate is well located in the town of Waimea, also known as Kamuela. Waimea is the island's dining destination and is found at an intersection of rural highways that sport vistas as varied as they are beautiful. While the Inn rests at an elevation of 2500 feet (762 meters) above sea level, it is only a fifteen to twenty minute drive to the island's finest beaches and golf courses.
White Lily Suite-
Find sublime comfort in this spacious room that is decorated in sky blues and misty whites. Porcelain and fabrics are combined with carved woods to provide an atmosphere that is at once uplifting and soothing. While the room is centered by a king size bed, the bathroom includes a spacious shower, oversized whirlpool tub, and two decorative sinks. The Cottage -
This plantation style home overlooks the seasonal Kohakohau Stream and the Kohala Mountains. Three bedrooms and three baths accommodate up to six guests. There is a large living room with a river rock fireplace, dining table, couches, and TV/DVD. The full kitchen is equipped with all the necessities. The back porch has a hot tub. Local phone line.
$250 per night for 2 people plus taxes.
$350 per night for 4 people plus taxes.

Begonia-
Here one finds an understated elegance with hardwood floors and regal purple carpeting throughout. A living room with bay window and loveseats features an antique armoire housing a television with VCR. The bedroom with king iron bed and french doors accesses a private covered porch overlooking endlessly blooming begonias. The bathroom has exposed rafters, two wash basins, an oversized whirlpool tub, and a large shower. Treat yourself to this private bungalow.
