* Honokohau is Kona's biggest harbor, with over 250 boat docks and several hundred more dry-docked boats.
* Many fishing charters, dive boats, and whale / dolphin tours leave from here.
* There are two restaurants (Bite Me & Harbor House), several charter / tour business offices, and a number of boat repair / maintenance related operations.
* The harbor is a man made harbor maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers.
* There is a small park area and a small beach South of the harbor mouth.
* Kaloko Honokohau National Park & Beach may be accessed on foot near the North side of the harbor mouth.
