Hapuna Beach State Park has one of the largest, most popular beaches on the Island. There is ample parking, and the park has restroom facilities, showers, and picnic areas + pavilions. The beach is about half a mile long, and there is plenty of sand both on the beach and in the water too. Hapuna is popular for sunbathing, but for those who like shade, there's not much. Also, the beach park is popular for picnics, playing in the water, boogie boarding, body surfing, etc.
